Birthday (& party) weekend

To start with, I wanted to show this video from about 2 weeks ago of Emmy's first big girl bath in the tub. Plus Bo "playing" (dunking) her.

We started off the extended weekend Wednesday night. Mommy official last day at Reed. She was so excited. Then Daddy took Thursday and Friday off for birthday celebrations. Thursday was Bo's real birthday. We promised him a pancake breakfast. He wanted blueberry ones.

Since it was a crappy rainy day out, we headed to the St. Louis City Museum. It was very crowded with busloads of kids for field trips. Aunt Heather and Grammie met us there. Bo played in the balls, played in sponges, climbed on the skateboard ramps, under the many tunnels (I think Mommy thought we lost him for a second b/c those tunnels can get very small and dark), watched a mini-circus, climbed up some more obstacles, and went down some slides. He had a blast. He did not want to leave. We finally convinced him around 1pm to go have lunch. We went to Ozzie's new sports bar on Washington. Bo liked the baseballs every where and Ozzie doing a flip. He ate french fries, noodles, and cookies. He opened Yee-Ha presents. He was exhausted from all the excitement. I think he was asleep in the car before we even were on highway 40 towards home (or Bo's house as he calls it).

After his long nap, Mommy made him one of his favorite meals spaghetti. Needless to say, he made quite a mess. Then he opened his presents from Mommy, Daddy, and Emmy. You'll never guess what we gave him, cho-chos. He was so excited. He could hardly contain himself. They were mountains, tunnels, bridges, cho-chos, and tracks. We stayed up until 10:30pm that night playing. There were so many of them that the table was not big enough so we had to lay them all out on the floor in the living room. Here is a little video I made of the day.

Then on Friday, it was Daddy's birthday. We had to go to the doctor for both kiddos check-up in the morning then we headed to the park. We ate lunch with Tracey, Will, and Kinley. We played on the playground with the slides and swings of course. After nap time, we had Bo's family birthday party. We barbequed cheeseburgers, Mommy made french fry casserole, ate cookie cake, and then more presents.
Here are some photos of the event

Saturday was his closing ceremony day at little gym. Needless to say Bo was running a little tired after the previous two days.
He still managed to do some flips

and hang "on the monkey bars"

Then received his medal in front of everyone on the podium

Sunday we went to a wedding in the morning and here is a family photo

After a long night at the wedding, we managed to make it to the pool on Monday before closing time.
