Happy Thanksgiving

Here are a couple photos from the new Woodworth family on Thanksgiving. We were pretty boring and did not do too much given our new edition. That night the 24 flu hit Mommy hard and then just as Mommy was feeling better Daddy picked it up so the long weekend was not fun at all. Luckily, the little ones did not catch anything.

Emily is doing ok. She still is not fully battled off the jaundice and just today was back to her birth weight of 7lbs. 13ounces. The doctor wants her to be gaining weight faster. We will go back to the doctor on Saturday morning to check both of these.

Jaundice

Poor Miss Emily was home for not even two days and back to the hospital we went. The doctor was concerned with her jaundice and bilirubin levels. When we were released from the hospital on Thursday afternoon, she was at a medium risk. We had to take her to be tested Friday and Saturday morning. Since her levels kept creeping up each day and she was very near the border for high risk, the doctor thought it best to take her back to the hospital to be under the lights. The UV rays help reduce this faster. Here is a picture of her in her first tanning booth with her goggles (really blind folds).

Needless to say, this is not what Mommy and Daddy had planned. After all day Saturday and most of Sunday, they let us go home. Her jaundice (yellow coloring of the skin) has almost gone away but now we are concerned with her weight. When she was born, she weighed 7lbs 13 ounces and when we left the hospital she weighed 7lbs 7 ounces. Then on Monday at the doctor she still only weighed 7lbs. 8ounces. By that time, she should at least be back to her birth weight if not higher.

We have had to give her the bottle a little in between nursing to make sure she is feeding enough. Mommy's milk is definitely in and Emily is definitely nursing enough but somehow she is not gaining weight. It all does not add up. We went to the doctor again on Friday after Thanksgiving and Emily was up a little 7lbs. 11 ounces but still not enough. She does sleep a lot but I guess most babies do.

She is still just precious and her is a good picture awake.

Presenting Emily Rae

On November 16th at 4:41pm, Emily Rae was born. She weight in at 7lbs. 12.5ounces and was 20.25 inches long.

Mommy did a great job and we are all so proud of her

Emily is just gorgeous

Bo has a new little sister

Emily gave Bo a present for coming to visit her and for being a new big brother. It was a build-a-dinosaur called Bo-asourus

Here is a picture of all 4 of us at the hospital

Still no baby yet

Mommy took Bo to the doc yesterday because of a really bad diaper rash he was experiencing. It was very painful to even look at. The doc says that Bo has Strep on his throat and his bottom. We had never heard of it on your bottom before but I guess it is very common because the nerves are connected. He was running a really high fever the past 24hrs so hopefully he can break that soon.

Mommy then went to her own doc for a baby check and the doc says Mommy is about 3cm dilated. She still isn't feeling any contractions but the doc thinks it could start any time now. We hope that Bo can feel better before everything starts to happen. There was talk of an induction this Friday but with everything seeming to be happening naturally and no medical emergency, there is no need to rush things. Until then, we will just be waiting to meet Emily and hope that Bo gets better.

Halloween

The Saturday before Halloween Mommy & Daddy took me to Boo at the Zoo. For this I dressed up as a Frog

Daddy went down the big slide with me at the Children's zoo where I petted the goats and guinea pigs

Then I rode the Carousel all by mysel as it went up and down

For actual Halloween, I dressed up as a dinosaur

My cousins Will and Kinley came over to show me how to trick or treat

Daddy pulls us around in a wagon so we could keep up with Kinley

Here is a pic of the family after a long day of trick-or-treating and eating candy

Bed time now I think.

Bo's First Sleep Over with Cousin Will

Last week Mommy and Daddy let me have my first sleep over at my house. It was with cousin Will of course.
We played soccer outside, ate milk shakes (see video), took a bath, and watched movies.
