You are kicking now

Baby Woodster, you have really been kicking up a storm yesterday. I think it was freaking out mommy at first but now she likes it. It seems towards the end of the day at night is when you like to play. Maybe it is because Daddy is home and most likely watching soccer or basketball. I know how Mommy loves that. Not only can you feel the kicks but you can also see them now. Mommy is ready for the weather to get better so she can start to take you on walks. Hopefully, this weekend will be last cold one but you never know in St. Louis.
I'm just glad Mommy is feeling better. I know the last 7 days or so have been rough on her with the flu, cold, and upper respiratory infection. I think she is almost over it. Mommy normally likes to take a lot of medicine but with you kicking around she wasn't able to so she had to rough it out. She's doing a good job of taking care of you so you just keep doing your part in growing.
I'm off to a soccer tournament this weekend in Indianapolis so don't miss me while I'm gone. I don't think I have too many of these trips left. That is until you start playing.

Diploma Finally!

Baby Woodster, I finally received this cool piece of paper in the mail last night. Some say it is proof that I'm smart. I'm just glad it is over and behind me. Now I have more time to prepare for the baby, take care of Mommy, and spend with the baby when you finally arrive.
I started in the Fall of 2004 and finished in Dec of 2008. I had to take 17 classes and Mommy doesn't even want to know what that costs. Thanks to the Home Depot (or Home Cheapo as Papa Steve calls it) for paying half the bill. That was nice of them. Now, they just need to keep sales up.
You are in your 25th week now so keep growing. Mommy has really been feeling you move around in her tummy. I've tried to feel you but I really just feel the heartbeat. We should get the tests back from the diabetes soon. Actually, the doc said if you don't hear anything by Friday than everything is normal. Keep Growing.

Happy Valentine's Day

Just wanted to wish a happy Valentine's Day to Daddy's babies (Lil Woodster and Shelly). Maybe next year we can do something more romantic with all 3 of us. This year isn't much to brag about. Nothing like watching movies on the couch and going to Steak n Shake for exactly that cheeseburgers and milk shakes plus one of Mommy's favorite cheese fries. Daddy also managed to start his first fire in the fireplace ever. It took a whole newspaper but it finally got going and lasted all day and night. You can see the picture.
Baby Woody has a big test tomorrow. Mommy can't have any sugar for 24hrs which is tough (I think she is going cold turkey) and then drink some nasty drink the doctor gives you. Hopefully everything goes well. You are almost 25 weeks old. I'm sure everything will be ok so good luck.

24 weeks

i haven't checked in for quite some time so I just thought I would say hello. We have been busy doing things around the house. I don't think it will ever stop. The main things that are left are all plumbing related so I'm sure Papa Steve will be helping out soon. This morning we woke up and found out the basement floor was all wet around the basement bathroom. Not sure what caused it but I pulled up the carpet so it will dry out.
This Saturday is Valentine's day so I'll have to check what Mommy wants to do. Someone sent her flowers today and I think she liked them.
Talk to you later and keep growing.

22 weeks old

Baby Woodster, you are getting bigger and older every day. I guess that goes without saying. Mommy was able to host her first party (though a small one) for the super bowl so she was so excited. Here is a picture of her baking with her apron on. I think the next party will be after you come home, maybe for your baptism.
I hope when you grow up you that you become a lawyer or have a good friend who is because these house warranty people, plumber, and seller are really giving us the runaround. The warranty people have been difficult to work with and don't really want to cover anything. The plumber doesn't want to fix anything nor show up for appointments. They didn't return 3 phone calls and so far are going on their 2nd no-show to fix the hot water heater. Meanwhile, Mommy is crabby every morning because her shower is cold which I don't blame her. Today is exactly 3 weeks since we first contacted the plumbing company. Don't ever use County Plumbing from Arnold, MO.
They still have about 30 more minutes to show up today and then I think I might lose it with the warranty company.
We are just trying to get everything ready for you to come so Mommy and Daddy have nothing to worry about.
