Bo's 1st Christmas

Well, I think I survived my first Christmas. I first want to thank everyone for all the great gifts that I was given. I can hardly believe how good Santa was to me. I must have been a good boy.
The festivities started with a full day of baking with my Mom on Christmas Eve waiting for Daddy to come home from work. We then went to 5pm mass where I was totally amazed by the big column we sat next. I kept wanting to touch it and look at why it went up so high to the ceiling. Then I went to Ma-Ma and Pa-Pa's house in north county for dinner. I ate sweet potatoes and turkey. Mommy also gave me some mac-n-cheese which is my favorite. I wolfed that down. After we ate, we opened presents. My favorite present was the swing that Daddy will hang outside for me when the weather gets nicer. Here is a picture of me about 10pm passed out on the floor from all work I put into opening my presents.

I slept the whole way home. When I woke up, I was in my own bed, it was Christmas morning, and it was snowing outside. (Mommy & Daddy were happy that I decided to sleep in to 7:30)
Here is a pic in my new PJs:

Daddy carried me downstairs to the tree where Santa had came to my house. There was this big house with a ladder and rock climbing wall for me to play on. I think Mommy & Daddy were more excited than I was about Santa coming but I know I will appreciate everything next year for sure. I also like to play in the house in the next few months as I keep getting older and bigger.

After going through our stockings and Mommy & Daddy opening presents (mommy got a treadmill and she was so excited), we went to Grammie's house. Aunt Heather, Uncle Mike, Nannycakes my great grandma, Great-Godmother Judy, and Uncle Rip were waiting for us. We had a great breakfast where Grammie & Mommy sneaked me some cinnamon roll icing. Once again, I received a lot of presents and loved playing with the paper, ribbons, etc. I think the lack of naps along with opening all the presents were getting to me so I becoming quite tired. I took a short nap.
We then left to go to Grandpa & Grandma's in St. Charles (actually Uncle John & Aunt Kelly's house). I was really worn down by the time I got there after the 2 long days. I was a little fussy but I was very happy to be there, just tired.
Once again I passed out in the car ride home.
The next day we went to the big family Corida Christmas with all my Pa-Pa's relatives, about 100 in all. They are so big we go to a hotel conference room for Christmas. It was fun to have all that space to crawl around in and play with cousin Will. My Daddy took me swimming as well but the water was a little too cold to my liking so I was very nervous about the pool. Maybe after I take lessons, I will like it more.

Notice the death grip

All in all it was a very exciting 3 days. I want to thank everyone again for all my cool stuff. I know next year I will enjoy it even more.

By the way, I'm quickly learning to pull myself up. Here is picture of me after having pulled myself up on the big chair. My Daddy removed the cushion so the chair was a little lower which made it easier for me. I keep practicing every night so I will get the hang of it soon enough.

Bo visits Santa

The last 10 days have been rough. Bo had an ear infection plus a cold (and on top of that I believe he is teething with the top 2 teeth). Needless to say, he has had trouble sleeping and taking the bottle, the sucking irritates him. He has trouble falling asleep because he can't get comfortable and he wakes up in the middle of the night unable to breath with congestion. The lack of sleep has taken its toll on all of us.

We have been trying to find a good time to go see Santa but we attempted to go last weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Woody, Santa went "to feed the reindeer" for 2hrs. Not sure who thought of that great plan but I believe they lost some customers. Bo was finally feeling better today so we took him to Mommy's favorite mall Frontenac. And yes, Mommy had to purchase two tops at Banana Republic while we waiting in line for an hour. It was a long line, I guess a lot of people put it off until the last moment but Santa had a real beard. Bo was a little tired from waiting in line so he didn't smile but he also wasn't scared by Santa so I guess that is good.

First St. Nick's Day and Christmas Tree

This Saturday night, I left my shoes on the steps in hopes of St. Nick bringing me something. I also left my Dad's shoes out too because they are much bigger and have more room for presents. I just have little feet right now. My Daddy and Mommy explained to me that if I was a good boy that St. Nick would leave me treat and/or toys but if I was bad then I would get coal.

I guess I was a good boy because when I woke up there were four gifts for me at the bottom of the steps. I really enjoyed opening them

I got a cool Tonka truck, an Elmo remote control so I don't have to play with Daddy's, an Elmo tooth brush, and a new learning to sign book. However, here was my favorite present at the time:

Here is my Mommy (and me helping) hanging our first ornament on our real Christmas tree that we went to pick out Saturday. I enjoyed grabbing all the branches and playing with the pine needles. The men at the store were very helpful. They trimmed the tree, wrapped it up, and tied it to the roof of the Jeep so that helped out Mommy and Daddy.

I think it turned out nice even though Mommy isn't finished decorating yet. Thanks to Great-Grandpa Woody for that. I think my Daddy may have been more excited about it then me but I really enjoyed the train. It goes around and around and I'm amazed. It has a whistle too.

Also, here is a clip of me Army crawling. My Mommy & Daddy say I am faster every day.
My favorite things to go after are electric wires, remotes, and phones.

6 months old

Last week was my first Thanksgiving. Although I was only able to eat some mashed potatoes, I still enjoyed them. Thanksgiving was also my 6 month birthday. I also learned a new trick last week. I started off scooting across the floor on Weds then that turned into an army crawl that I am very good at now. Each day I get faster and faster and start using my knees and legs more.

My Daddy will post a video of me later. Mommy wants us to childproof the house ASAP. I think that is a good idea because my favorite things to go after now are phones, remote controls, and any hanging cords that are around the house.

Monday, Mommy took me to the doctor for my 6 month check-up. I am in the 25 percentile for weight and 90 percentile for height. I am 28" tall with a 17.5" head circumference and only 15lbs 12oz. I lost weight since my last visit. The doctor was a little concerned about my weight. She said my Mommy and Daddy need to feed me more. I guess that means I'll get an extra feeding during the day and double up on my baby food. I am getting very good at eating and try to keep my messes to a minimum to make Daddy feel better. My doc was also a little worried about me not standing up on my own so I definitely need to practice this or I'll have to go see a specialist to help me. I don't want to do that.

Oh yeah, I forgot the worst part she gave me 2 shots for vaccines. They did not feel good and made me scream "bloody murder" as my Mom says.
