A week at the Lake of the Ozarks

Last week the kids spent the week with Mommy and her family at the lake. They had a blast. Here are some of the pictures that were took and sent to Daddy.
This really made Daddy happy because the kids were eating chicken wings. They were plain but they supposedly chowed down on them. We just need to get them to add some buffalo sauce
Bo called the place the Pirate Bar because it had pirate stuff all around. It had a beach where the kids played in the sand. Emmy got a pirate bracelet. Bo got a shark tooth necklace. They also both got Gold Ga blooms.
They also had a dance floor stage and all Emmy wanted to do was dance. There wasn't a band playing or anyone else dancing. She just heard music and saw a stage.

Next to the pirate bar, there was a trampoline in the water.
I just request a photo of these three again in the same position 10 years from now to compare.
Daddy finally arrived Thursday night to stay three nights with the family. The kids had a little extra energy so we stayed up playing Monopoly for the first time ever. This was Daddy's favorite game when he was younger. The kids did a great job of playing and picking up all the rules.
Friday morning thanks to Uncle Mark, the kids did some fishing. We used live crickets as bait. Both Emily and Bo caught a fish right away.
The rule was they had to kiss the fish before throwing them back in the lake. This was Emmy getting ready to but backing away at the same time.
We went back to the beach and gave Emily a mermaid tail.
Somehow (with some bribery) the boys (Bo & Will) were convinced to try water skiing. This is a picture of Bo trying for the first time. Uncle Joey and Daddy were in the water to help him with his skis. As you can see, he got up the first time and didn't let go. He did a great job and went for about 30s before falling. He was smiling until he looked around and realized he was all alone in the lake then freaked out. Joey and Daddy were about 50 yards behind him and the boat was 50 yards ahead of him.
Bo was very scared and rested in the boat while Will gave it a try. Then Bo actually tried again. This is the video. The boat stopped and the video stopped because they thought Bo fell but he actually stayed up for a while and went longer.

There was some tubing too of course.
A lot of snacking.
And then taking a ride on Aunt Laura's big boat or as Bo called it "the Ship". They were amazed by this Bo because it had a downstairs with a TV, a potty, and loud music.

Martial arts practice

This past weekend, Bo was invited to a birthday party for Nolan at a Martial Arts studio. Emily was invited to because Nolan's younger sister is the same age. Here is a picture of them listening to the Master. Below are 3 videos.

Practicing their punches

Practicing their kicks

Then finally getting to break a board which they kept.

Summer fun

Here are some pictures from the past two weeks. The kids are enjoying the summer. Bo was excited about the new Planes movie and did a hero training at the Disney store.
Emily was having her own fun.
She said hi to Sid the Science Kid at the Magic House.
Bo tried to build a ladder so he could get in the tree. When that didn't work they built, decorated, and buried the treasure chest.
Daddy took Bo to a special show at the Muny. He liked it because it was a scary show, The Addams Family. We also went to Fitz Root Beer before hand and Bo thought it was really cool to drink out of a glass bottle. We had to take a picture to send to Mommy so she knew. It also made him burp.
Emily hasn't been taking a nap during the day but by 5 o'clock this is how she usually looks after long summer days.
