Yesterday was my two month birthday. I feel so old these days. My parents took me to the pool for my great grandma marilyn's birthday yesterday. I absolutely loved floating on a raft - they say I get that talent from my mom. I sat in the pool with out crying four hours. Mommy was so proud of me. I guess it did help that my great grandpa and grandma were so sweet and heated the pool. So, it was like a big bath! I wish my daddy would put one of those in my back yard.

Mommy and daddy took me to the doctor today. I showed Dr. Huger how I smile and giggle. She said I looked great:) (other than the torticollis in my neck). I weigh 12 lbs 7 ozs and am 24 inches long. My height is in the 9oth percentile and weight 75th. Oh, I forgot about the worst part of my day. I got 3 shots and I didn't like those one bit. I showed mom and dad how harsh my lungs could be. Those shot things are awful! Mommy felt so bad she had to hide her eyes in the corner!

Things are going really well. Mommy and daddy say they are so blessed. I am such a happy baby - well usually. They did take my swing away. I was sleeping close to 6 hours in it. So I have to sleep in my big boy crib now. I am not really loving that but they say it helps my neck. Hopefully, I will get use to not being so snuggled! I know mommy would really like a good nights sleep.

I am getting really excited because my cousin Will is doing so well. He will be coming home soon and we will have tons of play dates and sleep overs. Its going to be awesome!

Okay, I am hungry and gotta go find the old lady who feeds me!

Love

8 weeks old or 2 months

I'm really never sure when you stop counting a babies age in weeks and start using months or when you stop using months and start using years. Having said that I'm going to say Bo is 2 months old today even though he is really 8 weeks and it will be 5 more days until July 26th where he is 2 months old.
He has his 2 month check-up next Monday so we will find out how well he is doing. He is getting really big and I'm sure he is pushing high 11lbs if not 12lbs by now. He has a "breast milk" belly that is for sure. He still has some stomach pains every once in a while after feeding so we will probably talk to the doctor about that. He is taking some medicine which seems to work but maybe he just needs to take it more often. He also has this issue with his neck where he doesn't like to turn it to the right. He always seems to hold it to the left so we will ask the doctor about that. I think we need to work with him more on his "tummy time" so he practices controlling his head and turning it side to side. This will help his muscles but we'll see what the doctor has to say.

Here is a picture of the new drawing or mural on Bo's bedroom wall above his crib. Mommy hired a friend of a friend to come over and do it. It is really cool and I'm sure Bo will appreciate it some day.

Also, here is a cute picture of Bo waking Daddy up Saturday morning. I'm not sure Daddy was ready to get up but Bo was ready to play so he said.

Well, today Bo's teacher came over, Mrs. Vicki. Mommy was so excited to show off her new little man. Mr. Bo wasn't exactly in the mood too be a show off. He did smile a few times but pretty much pretended to be tired. So, mommy looked like the crazy mom listing all the wonderful things he could do but he just wasn't showing (yes, just like the parents who say there kids can read but they just don't do it at school). The teacher asked Bo to show off his skills during tummy time. Mommy was excited and said he turns his head both ways, has great neck strength, and usually enjoys tummy time. The instant he went on his tummy he turned his head one way and fell asleep. He did open his eyes to look in the mirror - I guess he was admiring his beauty! Then, Mrs. Vicki asked to see how well he was doing with tracking with his eyes. I thought "Oh, boy yesterday he did so well with this." Daddy practices this ALL the time with Bo bc he heard it improves hand eye coordination. The teacher put this really cute home made toy in front of him. Bo just smiled graciously and closed his eyes! So, once again mommy looked like the crazy mom exaggerating her child's skills! . The little stinker...Speaking of he did show off his great pooping skills while she was here. He decided to go ahead and fill up his pants not silently but rather loudly! Yes, his poops are louder than daddy's farts. Mommy was sweating bullets thinking he was going to poop out his diaper all over Mrs. Vicki . Luckily mommy's prayers worked and he waited til he was in mommy's lap! Unfortunately, I think Bo not only has mommy's stomach issues but also her laziness!!! I guess he was thinking if there is no reward for hard work than I will do nothing! Fortunately, the teacher gave mommy a ton of materials to read, games to play, and skills to work on. Next time, Bo will be ready to go! If not, mommy will leave daddy to meet the teacher and will be pretending to be at work!

Smiling Bo

While Daddy stayed home with Bo this week, I taught him how to smile. I was able to snap a quick photo with my camera that I thought I would share with everyone. I think he enjoyed his Daddy time.
