Wedding in KC

This weekend we went to Leanna's wedding in Kansas City, KS. The kids were very exciting because they were in the wedding as ring bearer and flower girl with cousin Will. But I think they were most excited about staying in the Ho-tel. Bo and Will had diving and cannon ball contests while Emmy staying in the hot tub.

Here is a video of them walking down the aisle. Bo was walking with the little girl who was one and half so his job was to take his time to show her the way. He did excellent. Cousin Will and Emily were suppose to be behind them but I think Will wanted to walk next to Bo (his best buddy) and Emily was playing shy so she hid behind Bo. Overall, they were very well behaved and followed directions. They were rewarded with surprised

All along they were looking forward to the big dance off at the reception. The hard part was waiting til the end of the night. Here is one video of Emily dancing around

Emily's first big girl birthday party

Last weekend, Emily was invited to her first big girl birthday party. It was a girl she goes to pre-school with and as she noted many times Bo was not invited. Bo has been to countless birthday parties the past two years so this was a big deal to Emily.

She was very excited to go shopping for the present, helping wrap the present, and for the them which was what else but a princess party. This is her all dressed up before we walked in. She decided to be Tangled (aka Rapunzel) this time.

This is all the princesses sitting at the royal table for lunch. They also had a Princess there who did balloon animals so every kid picked what they wanted. Then they did dress up with necklaces, bracelets, and decorate your own tiarra.
At the end, they did karaoke which was all the Frozen music. The girls loved it and didn't want to stop.

USA (I believe that we are going to win)

Daddy has been trying to teach the kids (and Mommy) about the World Cup. We have been rooting for USA for sure. The kids favorite cheers are the typical "USA! USA! USA!" and then the new one where the whole crowd says "We believe that we are going to win" repeating it over and over again but saying it faster and louder each time. I think they like the faster and louder part.

A few years ago when we have had the Belgium exchange students stay at our house they gave Bo a Belgium jersey to wear. Since the US is playing them in the next round, we thought it would be funny to post a picture on Facebook to them.

Baby Woody #3 "Baby Pancake's" Ultrasound

Well, it has been over three weeks now and here is the first ultrasound for the Baby Woody #3 or Baby Pancake. The first week Mommy went to the doctor the heart rate was only 110 beats/min but this last week it was 150 beats/min which is where it needs to be. The baby's size at this point is right where it needs to be. The due date according to this was Feb. 4th, 2015.

Mommy has been very sick since then. She is very nauseated all the time and had some puking. The kids are going to all day camp so she has some peace and quiet at home. Mommy is very dehydrated and the doctor volunteered to give her an IV if she was ever feeling week. She will keep making regular visits.

Bo riding his bike all by himself

This is a video of Bo riding his bike with the GoPro camera on the handlebars. Daddy took his hands off the bike a few times and he did fine as long as he didn't notice.

Baby Woody #3 Announcement

On 6/7/14 Saturday night, Mommy read the kids a story that was "written/narrated" by the new baby. Bo was very excited. He had a hard time understanding the timing of this. We told them the baby would be in the belly until after Emmy's birthday, Christmas, and Mommy's birthday so he had a long way to wait. He kissed Mommy's belly and was very sweet to her.

Emmy on the other hand was not so excited. Partially, we think she didn't understand but the other part was she wanted to be the baby or didn't want to share her Daddy with anyone. We asked her if she wanted to have a sister or brother and she of course picked sister. She wanted to call the baby pancake or sparkles.

We showed the same book to the grandparents to be the next day. They all had to do double takes to make sure what they were reading was true.

Here is a video of Mommy reading the book to the kids.

Emmy's dance recital

On Sunday June 8th, Emmy had her end of the year dance recital. It was a big show at SLUH on the big stage. The theme this year was state fair.
Of course she had to get all dolled up. She loved putting on make-up and doing her hair with Mommy.
This is her at the show before she went behind stage to get ready to perform.

This her doing her cowgirl song. She is the little one at the far end. She did a great job especially compared to last year. She sang the words and even did the dance motions.
After the performance, she was given roses. Her very own flowers that she had to put in her room.
The show was at 6pm so it was late by the time it ended. And she was ready to remove the outfit. She just started removing everything right there in the middle of the floor outside the auditorium.
Here she is without her costume on walking to the car from the show. She of course is carrying her flowers. We all had to smell them.

Kids Princess and Super Hero camp.

Last week, the kids took a summer camp (Mon-Fri) in the morning at Stages which is a youth acting school in St. Louis. Emmy's class was a princess theme focusing on Sleeping Beauty while Bo was Superhero theme. They both loved it. On Friday at the end of class, they had a performance that Mommy and Daddy were able to attend. Here is a video of them.

Bo and Emmy bowling on a rainy day

Saturday was a rainy day so we decided to go to a movie. After the movie, Bo wanted to play some games so we went to Incredible Pizza. Here is a video of the kids playing bowling. Bo had two strikes and then started to bowl silly. Emmy had trouble getting the ball down there so we were encouraging her to spread her legs to throw the ball. She took it to the extreme and shook her booty a little too.

Emmy's school Raintree summer camp

This week, the first week of summer vacation and the kids are signed up to go to summer camp. Mommy has to do a curriculum workshop so they don't get to stay home. They both were super excited because they are going to Emmy's school. Bo was excited to go to her school especially because they have a forest. Emmy was excited because her big brother gets to go to her school.

Bo may have been a little too excited. He woke up at the crack of dawn 5:30 and dressed himself up without anyone asking him. He was ready to go. He woke up Emmy and helped her get dressed too. When I came downstairs they were sitting together on the coach watching TV, ready to go. They looked half asleep too.

The other good thing about Raintree is they eat breakfast and lunch there so we don't have to worry about that. They love it too because chef Katie is very kid friendly.

Here they are standing in front of the tree at the house before we left. They have their camp bags ready with shoes, rainboots, extra clothes, water bottle and hat for when they hike through the forest.

Bo's 5th birthday

We started off Bo's birthday with hanging 20 balloons in his room so when he woke up, he was surprised.
For his birthday present, Daddy put together a treasure hunt for him. He started with a small treasure chest with a combination lock on it and a paper with clues. His clues were 4 things around the house where he had to write down the four numbers which were the combination to the lock.
Inside the chest was a map of the house with "X"s marking the spots where his presents were. He loved it. Probably because it was just like what he did at Legoland Hotel.
His theme for his party was Angry Birds.
In the morning, Bo had his kid party at Swing Around Fun Time. He was so excited to have his party. He invited all the kids from his class. His best buddy Will couldn't make it but Bo was ok about it because his best friend from school was going to be there.

After cupcakes, it was time to go outside and ride go carts. In case you were wondering, Bo won the race.
Emmy was there doing everything too. She thought she was pretty cool to hang out with the girls from Bo's class.
After go karts, they rode the water bumper boats. They shoot water at each other and get really soaked.

After riding outside, they came inside to play games. Everyone was given 20 tokens. This is a picture of Bo putting his tickets into the counting machine.

After the kids party, we came home to have cheeseburgers (or as Bo called them Crabby Paddys). Then finally, Bo was able to open presents. He was probably more excited about getting presents then anything.

Bo was super excited to open Star Wars Angry Birds present.

Bo took awhile to blow out his candle because he was thinking about what wish he wanted. He wouldn't tell us what his wish was because then it wouldn't come true. A little birdie told me that he wished for hundred angry bird sets.

At the end, we played a game called pin the tail on the Red Angry Bird. Bo was very excited to buy decorations of Angry birds for the party. The day before his birthday we took him to the party store to pick out his stuff. He may have liked this as much as the actual party, except for the presents of course.

Happy Birthday little buddy! I can't believe you are five already and a big boy.

Emily's note from teacher

For Emily class project this semester, the theme was stuffed animals which was appropriate since she has about a hundred of them in her bed every night. They were also working on sewing and focus on details of things. They created a "ginormous" stuffed animal in their class room that they all had to work together on the "details". This was a note the teacher sent home about Emily's hard work on the project.

I think someone might be the teacher's pet.

Bo's castle parade at school

This is a picture of Bo on the morning of his last day of school at the college school.

Bo and his class worked hard all semester on a castle, knight, etc. theme. This is a video Mommy took for his end of the year parade. Bo is holding the flag towards the end of the parade. The whole school comes out into the hallways to watch them march through. They cheer and applaud so it is fun to see.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSnhufj3Ags

He wore his castle shirt on the day of his parade which was a few days before his actual last day. On the shirt (front & back) is a bunch of drawings the students made of castles.

Look who else had a matching "castle shirt" to celebrate with Bo.
