Bo at the Little Gym "all by himself"
In September, Bo went to gym class all by himself. "No Emmy, just Bo" as he says. It is at Little Gym which is the same place he and Emmy went to before. This time though the parent doesn't go inside with him. The parents just watch outside. Daddy was a little nervous how he would do with this but he is doing really well. He loves it and even follows the directions fairly well. He has a little trouble waiting his turn but he is not alone on that one.
They usually do some introduction in the beginning and some running around the blue mat. Here is a good picture of him sprinting. This is generally what he does regardless if he is suppose to be skipping, hopping, galloping, walking, etc.
His favorite is the bars and just hanging. Now that he is bigger he gets to go on the high bars too and just fall down.
This is him doing the "spiderman" walk.
Oh no, Emmy loves make-up
A few weeks ago, Bo went to the baseball game without Emmy. So Emmy went out to dinner to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Even though it wasn't her birthday, she received a gift, a play make-up set. Well, needless to say she loved it. She played with it all night at the dinner table. Then she had to carry it in her bag to the car and in her car seat. She wouldn't let it go.
When we got home, Daddy (being the softy that he is) even let her take it to bed with her. We put her to bed because it was late and she was exhausted. After about 10mins, I could her some talking from her room. It was Emmy putting make-up on her stuffed animals in her bed. She finally went to sleep. The picture below is what we found in the morning when we woke up. Apparently she woke up early and just played make-up. She didn't call for us to get her or anything. She was just playing make-up and smiling.

More pictures from Emmy's dance class
Here are some more pictures of Emmy dancing on her 3rd attempt. She did a great job this day and we had a lot of great pictures thanks to Grammy.
She is doing her pirouette.
She is very proud to wear her tutu.
She has her tap shoes on and is tapping loudly.
She is doing her hops, like a bunny rabbit of course.
She is doing her rocking horse.
And then like her Mommy she needs her reward at the end, candy.
New "Park" or playground in our backyard
We received a call from a friend who said their neighbor was getting rid of their playground. If we came and picked it up, then we could have it for free. So Daddy called Papa for help. Here is a picture of Papa looking at it for the first time. We all wondered if he was thinking, "what the heck am I going to do with this and how did I get talked into it?" Well, luckily Papa was able to take it apart into 6 pieces that fit into his trunk in only two trips.
That next weekend Daddy called Grandpa over to help put it back together. A couple of pieces needed to be replaced so we made a project out of it with Bo's help. That meant a trip to Home Depot where Bo knows they have tools and wood so we brought some home. Then while Bo went off to the baseball game and actually ran on the field with his Grammie. We finished it up.
Here are a couple of pictures of Emmy going down the slide and on the swing her favorite.

Bo's new bunk bed
Last month, Bo's crib finally gave out on him. Actually, it didn't break but he is too big for it, especially with all the junk (books, blankets, stuffed animals, pillows, more books) that he has in it. So first, we tried just taking the front rail off and surprisingly enough he did a good job of staying in his bed. However, with all that stuff and the way he moved around it was hard for him to stay in the bed while he was sleeping. So one night Bo and Daddy took the bed apart with our tools because it was "broken". Bo then had to sleep on the mattress on the floor for the next day or two until we picked up his bunk bed. Here is a picture of Bo asleep one night "on his mattress".
That weekend we got a used bunk bed from Shelly's Uncle. It was a white one so of course that wasn't the correct color. Mommy and Daddy spent the weekend spray painting it blue. Bo was so excited when he got home to see it. He sleeps on the top bed now and does a good job of staying in his bed. We are very proud of him. Bo is very excited to have sleep overs now because he has the two beds. He says his best buddy Will can stay there or even Grammie. Of course, Daddy and Mommy are welcome to as well and Emmy wants to but that will have to wait.
