Go Cards

Bo is 5 weeks old today and we dressed him in his first Cards outfit Sunday. It didn't bring home a winner but brought a trade from management which is good.
I'm not sure he liked the hat too much until we put it on backwards so I'm not sure what that means. The socks looked a little cheesy but he kicks so much that they don't stay on very much.

4 weeks old

We went to the doctor on Weds for Bo's 4 week check-up. Boy does time fly by. The doctor said he is thriving and Mommy is doing a great job breast feeding. Keep up the good work and we don't need to come back for another 4 weeks. She did give us some medicine to help the little guy with his (what we think is) acid reflex. The doc said it is fairly common with babies and not much you can do about it. Try to keep Mister Bo upright for 30-45mins after eating.
He weighed in at 10lbs 3ounces and was 21.75inches tall. Both of these were in the 70 percentile for his age which is about the same percentile he was when he was born so we are on a good pace.
I think we have noticed a slight increase in how much he eats and a little more frequently as well. The doctor said around 3-4 weeks babies usually have a growth spurt which cause this. He is sleeping fairly well too but I'm sure Mommy differs a little on that. At night he will sleep for 5hrs straight on occasion which is awesome.

Here is a picture of him sleeping peacefully while he watches with Daddy the USA beat Spain 2-0. The other picture is the Woodworth clan at Aunt Beth's Graduation party. Bo's first party. I'm sure it won't be his last.

Soccer Bo

The soccer team that I've coached the past 5 years or so is having their state cup this past weekend in Springfield, MO. In case you are not aware, this is the tournament that the whole season builds up to. Since Bo was due on the day after our first game was scheduled, I was not planning on being able to attend any of the games. Since Bo came 2 weeks early, Mommy was nice enough to let me to go down Sat. morning and stay that night so I could watch our first two games. The boys did very well and won them both and actually won yesterday too to advance to the state final.
Nowing that I couldn't be there, they all gave me, I should say Bo or Baby Woody as they call him, a gift Sunday after the game. Here is a picture I took of him in his Green (our team color) Nike jersey and his first pair of soccer boots. Thanks to my team and congrats to them as well on doing so well.

1 week old

It has been a busy last 10 days or so. Bo has turned 1 week old plus, as of today we have been home from the hospital for a whole week, and Daddy went back to work.
I have to say Baby Bo has been very good the first week. He sleeps a lot, he has been eating (thanks to Mommy doing a great job), and then of course poops & pees a lot but these are all expected. He has slept in his bassinet by himself without fussing which allows mommy to get some sleep at night. We go to see the pediatrician next Tuesday on Bo's two week birthday so we can see how much weight he has gained. We will update more than.

A lot of people have asked and emailed about seeing pictures of the baby's room (or nursery as Mommy calls it). I thought I would post a few that Grandma W took for us. I have to say that Kim did an excellent job with everything and we were very surprised by both Bo being a boy and the room in general. I know Mommy has been telling everyone how wonderful she thinks the room is. I hope Kim likes referrals because mommy is definitely giving them out. Hopefully the pictures do the room justice.
