Emmy now has an ear infection

Emmy went to the doctor today since she has had trouble sleeping through the night the past week. They said she has an ear infection. This is the second one in the past since October so we can only hope she isn't on the same path as her brother. I think the doctor says 3 in the first year and half or five total and she is a great candidate for tubes.
They prescribed her Amoxicillin so hopefully it starts kicking in by tomorrow night. She has been up at midnight about every other night so we all could use a good night sleep that is for sure.

On the lighter side, I was putting Bo to bed tonight and he was getting really sad all of sudden. He wasn't crying and he wasn't sad because he was going to bed (like he usually is). So I asked him what was wrong. He said he didn't want to go to school tomorrow. I asked "why not because you always have so much fun at school. He said he wanted to stay home and play with me. I told him that I couldn't because I had to go to work. He then asked why I had to go to work. I told him to make money or monies as he calls it. His immediate response was to put in my piggy bank and to buy me toys? I said of course and then he was ok with it.

Emmy the animal

Here is a picture of Emily and what she likes to do now if you don't watch her at the table. She likes to climb on the table over to Bo's plate so she can eat some of his dinner. With her allergies, this is why we have trouble eating anything with egg, fish, or nuts because she wants exactly what we have. You can't hide it from her because she is smart enough now that she'll just go get it herself. We just have to be extra careful especially with what Bo is eating because he tends to make a mess and little missy here will just follow behind and eat up all the crumbs.

"Daddy stay home with me"

Well, since Daddy is starting a new job next week, the days of working from home (or working all night so he's home during the day) are behind us. I definitely will miss putting Bo to bed and having him ask me the quesiton "Daddy stay home with me tomorrow?". "No Mommy, she go to work. Daddy stay home with us.".

We like to play Play-Do

Here are a couple of pictures of the fun things we get to do like pretend to be a gymnast. I have no idea how she managed to hide inside there.

Bo loves watching movies especially this particular movie where he wear the matching jammies and holds his "people" (characters from the movie) with him while in his movie chair.

Then later, we turn the living room into a dance floor and listen to music and dance. Dance = run around in a circle to the music until you become so dizzy you fall down. Also, for some reason he likes to dance with his pants off. Then of course, Emmy wants to do the same thing. It is quite hilarious and strange at the same time.

snowman, tracks, and sledding

Last weekend, we went out to play in the snow before it melted.

Bo wanted to make a snowman but this was the best we could do with the lack of snow and it not sticking together very much. He named it Frosty of course and he had about 6 or 7 stick arms

Another reason we didn't get very far on the snowman was because Bo was into making track (footprints) in the snow. He did this for like an hour. He couldn't believe all the tracks he was making. We saw some deer tracks too that he called dog tracks. After that, he had to make dinosaur tracks. Then he made bear tracks and we had to hide from the bear because he was "scary". So we hid behind the bushes for a little bit until it was safe.
It was funny because before we went inside I asked if I could take a picture in front of his snowman. We did that and I started to walk inside and he said Daddy wait you have to take a picture of my tracks. So here it is.

Since Emmy took a morning nap, we came out after lunch. She wasn't too much into playing in the snow but she did eat some of it.

She really didn't want to even ride in the sled at first because she was too busy riding on all the bikes, tricycle, etc. Then I just put her in it and she loved it but only when I went fast. If I stopped or went too slow, she would just grunt "Ugh, ugh" until I went fast again. I think that wore her out but she definitely like it.

Then we had a fire that night since Mommy was freezing. She was sitting on the edge most of the night and of course the kids wanted to as well so we took this picture in between them playing with the sticks, wood, and tools.

Happy New Year 2012

Bo was able to bring in the new year at the hotel with all his cousins. We didn't quite make it to midnight but Will and Bo did get to watch a movie in the big bed before going to sleep. Here is a pic of the two boys while Emmy wandered the hotel room loving being able to get into everything.

Bo was so excited to go to the Hotel, go swimming (he is very much like his Mommy) that he refused to take a nap on that Friday. He wanted to wear his superman outfit and fly to the hotel like a bird, he said

Since New Year's was on a Sunday, Daddy was off on Monday so I took the kids to meet Grammie at Incredible Pizza while Mommy did some studying.
Bo loves to play hockey although he was very distracted by all the other games after a few goals. We put Emmy up on the table to finish the game for him while he checked out other stuff.

"Giddy Up Horsey"

Bo loved this car ride because he shook him around a lot. He took his hand off to wave and pumped his face on the steering wheel. I told him that is what is like to ride with Mommy driving and no seat belt.

Of course, Emmy wanted to drive also and somehow she knew just how to steer too. She loved it.

Bo wanted to slam dunk but had to settle for pop-a-shot.

We weren't exactly strong enough to make it up the ramp for skee ball. However, Emmy found an easier way to make it in the holes.

Bo loves bowling but he liked this way a little better. The balls are smaller and the floor is not slippery so you can just wear your tennis shoes. He bowled a 84 in 10 frames with Emmy's help of course.

All in all, I think everyone had fun. Could this be Daddy's little girl?
