Christmas lights adventure

The Saturday after Thanksgiving Mama & Papa took all the grandkids to go see some lights. Here is a picture ob Bo & Will riding a camel.

Thanksgiving & Turkey Trot

The day before Thanksgiving the kids helped Mommy make pies.

Daddy signed Bo up for this first race which is Chesterfield Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. It was a 1K fun run. It was really cold that morning so Bo was a little nervous at first. He did a great job. We went over how you don't win this race and your goal is to just pace yourself and not stop/walk. He was very successful and happy to get a medal right at the finish line plus bananas & granola bars. He also proudly wore his red t-shirt for being in the race the rest of the day. Plus he wore it the first day back at school so he could show his friends.

Magic tricks

The kids wanted to perform some magic tricks by taking their eye balls out and pretending to eat them.

Haircuts

The kids had some haircuts this past week. Beth took Emily and then they did some fun things at the mall.

Bo went with Aunt Heather to the hair salon and couldn't be happier because as you can see he didn't care where he was.

Last soccer game

The end of October the kids had their last soccer game. They were both very excited because it was the last game. I asked them if they wanted me to sign them up for more and they both immediately said "no thanks". Bo asked if he could do a science class instead. Emily said she didn't want to play baseball anymore. Yes, they were playing soccer not baseball.

They both received a medal and soccer cupcake.

Face painting

Daddy's new work as the kids call it had their annual picnic. Unfortunately, it rained for like a week straight so they had to move it indoors. This was a picture of the kids after getting their face painted. Batman and Butterfly

Bo's field trip

Daddy was able to be a chaperon for Bo's field trip one morning to a different pumpkin patch. Luckily they only put me in charge of 2 boys. I might add they were the wildest of them all.

They had a lot of hay activities like the bridge in the hay maze.

Emily is all dressed in her Tiger jacket. Mommy said she looked like a Sororiety girl at Mizzou ready for the big game.

We made our annual trip to the Rombach's pumpkin patch. I believe we have a pictures from here every year.

Swimming and gym

The kids are both still doing swimming lessons. Bo was very excited because he moved up to level 5. This means he passed level 4 which is where you glide on your side for 1/4 of the pool. In level 5, he does the freestyle with focus on breathing to the side without stopping your motion.

Emily on the otherhand is still in level 3. She doesn't push the limits too far. She is more interested what is for snack after the game. This is a picture of her finally jumping off the end of the pool by herself. Bo was two stations down attempting to do a dive which turned into a belly flop.

Hay ride

Friday night before Halloween, we went on a hayride with some friends in St. Charles by the river.

Winter seemed to come early.

The kids are all dressed up for our first Trunk or Treat at Bo's school/church.

We decorated the car in a spooky spider theme. Bo was in charge of decorating. As you can see Emily was in charge of getting the candy ready to hand out. She put one in the bowl and one in her mouth.

Bo played some games. His favorite was throw the toilet paper in the potty and win a prize

While Bo was playing games, Emmy said her stomach hurt. Mommy said it was from eating too much candy. So candy was taken away and she sat in the back of the car to rest. While we weren't looking, she snuck her bag and ate some more candy.
