Princess and pirate night

The past two weeks we have gone to Chick-fil-a for themed nights. Last week was princess night and Emily was thrilled to sit with her favorites Elsa and Cinderella.
She had her nails painted also, pink with sparkles of course.
This week was pirate week. The kids dressed up in their pirate costumes.

Bo slipping before he gives it a big kick. He had to go up the hill to get a running start.
Emily showing her aggression. Even though she was the littlest one out there she is still throwing some elbows out there to get the ball.

Here is Emily getting a chance to center off. Does she know the right way to go?

Soccer shrimps first game

Last Saturday, the kids had their first soccer game of this year. They are on the same team this year since it is pre-kindergarten league. They are the Green Soccer Shrimps. They were very excited to play. Emmy had a hard time wearing the shin guards because they felt weird but Bo liked wearing his new ones because it was like he was going to battle. Emmy had new pink soccer spikes with matching socks and shorts of course.

They did great during the practice which is the first 30mins. They played a game where the balls were honey, the goals were their home, and the kids were bears. Whichever team got the most honey in their home won. The last 30mins they played a game against another team. It was very crowded on the field since they didn't have subs and it was 11 kids vs. 11 other kids all in a herd. There were a few kids getting trampled so next week they will put fewer kids out there and give them breaks.

They both had fun and were excited to play but a little worn out. Nothing some water and powdered donuts can't cure.

Baby pancake 19 weeks

Today, we had the "big" ultrasound half way through the pregnancy. We took the kids with us to see the "baby movie". They were very excited. They made a lot of comments while watching. Bo said it looked like a piggy and asked if we could dress the baby up for Halloween as a piggy. Emily didn't want to look because she said the baby looked scary.

Everything looked good according to the doctor. The baby measured well (95% for his size, so a big baby). We didn't find out if it is a girl or a boy but if you look closely at the pictures below you might be able to tell.

Bo wanted to do a video for boys & girls to watch how to do the monkey bars. This is it.

School work

Emmy all dressed up. Since she has a green uniform at school, she never gets to wear her dresses. Last weekend, she dressed herself.
This was Bo's picture he drew at school with his story.
Here is a self portrait Emily drew at school

Quincy and mark twain lake

Over Labor Day weekend, we made a trip up to Quincy for the Alumni game. Since Daddy is too old to play in it anymore, he trained the kids on the practice field. I believe they had some fun

The next day we took the wave runners to Mark Twain and played on the beach
We had to make a big sandcastle for the princess and monster trucks.
We turned Emmy into a mermaid and Bo was a sand robot that broke out of the sand.
