Botube - debut episode

This afternoon while Daddy was at work, he received a text from Mommy that Bo had recorded his very own video on how to build and play with his Lego train. Apparently while Mommy was upstairs and Bo was suppose to be taking a nap, he went downstairs and got his IPad. As you can see from the picture below, he built the track by himself. He leaned his Ipad against a photo so it would stand up to video himself. Then he was talking to it when Mommy walked in. There were a few things out of place like he had the camera facing the wrong way so it recorded the back of the couch and he had the volume down to low so you couldn't really hear himself.

He was very proud of himself. He loves to watch this kid named Evan on youtube do toy reviews. He is constantly watching it so I think this was his way of doing the same thing. When Daddy came home from work, we helped him build the Lego set as it was on the box that it came in. It had to be exact so he could really record his video. After doing that Mommy took this chance to make a lesson out of it by making him write (or in this case talk) out his script on what he was going to say. We did 3 takes so this is the 3rd one that was the longest.

Part of his script was to come up with how to end it so Bo came up with it by himself, he says "don't forget to subscribe". This is because Evan says it at the end of his clips. Subscribe in this case is referring to his own Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4o2jZ_HYOE

Afterward he asked if we would take him to Toys R Us to buy some angry birds game so he could do his review on it. He already has a bunch of ideas on what to do his next video on. I guess we will see but I have to say his first one was "awesome".

4th of July

Here are the kids all decked out for the 4th of July, Red White & Blue day, or America's birthday. We have referred to it with all of these names.

We went to downtown St. Charles for a parade and a BBQ at a friend's house.

Will's Birthday

Will had his birthday party on July 3rd at Swing Around Fun Town. Bo was so excited because he got to drive his very own mini go-cart.

Emmy waited patiently for her turn with her Red, White, and Blue cupcake shirt on.

When Emmy finally got her turn, she threw a little fit because she didn't get to ride in the purple cart. She also couldn't reach the peddles so the attendant had to help. Since Emmy isn't the best steer-er, they ran into the curb immediately and she got a little bloody lip.

Next they got to ride in the bumper boats that have a spray gun. The boys loved this and everyone was soaking wet by the end of it.

They had "big kid" go carts too with double seats so Emmy rode with Aunt Beth.

Bo rode with Daddy and loved it. The whole team he was cheering and said "this is the best party ever".

Inside they had lots of games for the kids to play.

Summer Fun

Here are some photos of the kids having fun this summer like Emmy going down the water slide at their Mommy's favorite place (swimming pool)
Emmy carrying out the donuts on national donut day. (We couldn't NOT go to the Donut shop on this day)

Bo picking strawberries from his garden in the backyard. We have actually picked over 20 from there.

Eating lunch outside (their favorite place to eat) on the back porch which includes their hand picked strawberries.

Emmy eating her favorite thing...cookies

Bo building his Legos like the Jeep pulling a tractor with motorcycles.

We took the kids to the Muny at Forest Park to see Shrek. This is them outside afterwards.

The kids at family camp seeing "take me out to the ballgame".
