Emily's peanut food challenge

Today Emily had her peanut food challenge and passed. This means she is not allergic to peanuts anymore.

The challenge goes like this.

They have bits of peanuts that they mix up in a food in this case chocolate pudding. The measure her blood pressure and heart rate before and after each tasting to make sure nothing goes wacky. Every 15mins for 4 times this is done with more peanuts added each time. If all is well then she stays there for two hours of observation.

As a reward she tried a snickers for the first time. Bo already is excited because now he can have Reese's at home. So guess what we will have tomorrow.

Summer bike ride through Forest Park

I Today we took a ride through Forest Park from Papa's house. This was Emily's first time so she was really nervous and needed a little bribing to get started.

Bo on the other hand was ready to go.

After going for 2mins, Emily said this is fun. She didn't stop talking the rest of the trip

Papa was pulling Bo on a co-pilot trailer while Daddy did the same thing with Emily.

We stopped in the central west end for root beers and snacks before heading back home.

Cooper stayed with Mama as he is still too little. 

This week he started napping and sleeping at night in his big boy bed. Notice he has a lovey like Bo and Emily that helps him fall asleep. The first couple days were rough with a lot crying but he has made big strides lately and falling asleep fairly quickly in his bed.

The last few weeks Cooper has been trying some real food. Along with his rice cereal dinner which he loves, he has been eating carrots for breakfast and has been slow to like them, recently some squash for lunch and join the kids for some snacks.

Guess which one he liked the best.

As you can see from this photo, he just loves his big boy seat and sitting with Bo and Emily.

Oh, the big kids are also teaching him to watch YouTube.

Emily's dance recital

Emily and Mommy tried some prep work this year to get her hair ready with curls.

In the morning, she had curls but still a little work to do.

This is the final product before her big show.

This year the Emily signed up for princess camp. Yes, she is wearing high heels under that dress and makeup.
