Bo's Superman 3rd birthday

For Bo's birthday this year, there was a superhero/Superman theme in which Mommy did a great job decorating.
He wanted to go to the big bouncy house so we reserved Sky Zone for him and his friends on that Sunday (the day after his actual birthday) of Memorial Day weekend. He was very excited for it finally to be HIS birthday
The place is a bunch of trampolines connected together. You can only have one person on a trampoline but you can bounce from one to the other. I think everyone had fun including the adults and little ones.
There was also another section with two trampolines and big pit at the end with rubber blocks that you can land in. I think this was Bo's favorite part and he probably stayed over there more than half the time. He liked to race people.
After the jumping, we had cupcakes, pizza, and sodie. Mommy made all the kids Superman capes for the boys and Princess capes for the girls. They were a big hit.
After the Sky Zone, we went back to "Bo's house" for BBQ and outside water fun.
Emmy had fun too outside in the water which is a given
Don't forget the birthday cake and singing "Happy To ya"
Then at night we set up an outdoor movie for them but had to do it in the garage. The movie of choice was Toy Story and then Tangled.
Since it was his birthday and special day, he didn't have to take a nap and could stay up as long as he wanted. Here is how it finally ended around 9pm.
Happy Birthday little buddy

Little Gym Medal Ceremony

This past winter we signed the kids up for Little Gym Class. We were able to get them both in the same class which is nice. Ideally, I think Bo would have been in the class ahead and Emmy would have been in the class before but I think all in all it worked out fine. They both loved it. For the last day they have a medal ceremony that Bo participated in last year but it was Emmy's first time. As you can see below, they love climbing, walking across the balance beam, and hanging. Of course Emmy loved following Bo around and trying to do anything he was doing. She always seemed to be about 30 seconds behind.
While they played the theme from "chariots of fire", they had each kid go up to the platform and stand there on the top while the teacher put their medal on. They both did a great job going up there by themselves. Emmy didn't stand in the middle and wanted to stay just standing up there while everyone clapped for her. She definitely likes the spotlight.

Nashville CMAs music festival

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYdDHdOSGz0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07EsQ5qLOt4 Friday we took a day off from travel and spent the day in Nashville. It was just coincidence that they were having a 5 day all-day long music festival. There was of course free music concerts, a lot of food, random booths, lots of boots, and cowboy hats. Here is a pic of Bo playing the guitar and the kids eating a snow come in the shade.

Trip to florida via Nashville

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Rym3I62-M Did you ever wonder if kids really say, " are we there yet?" Well, Bo asked it before we got thru downtown STL while Emmy wiggled out of her car seat belt, practically standing up. Bo asked it about ten more times before we made it to Nashville.

Cousin Kinley was riding in the way back and every once in awhile Bo would ask her if she was ok. He was very concerned. It was cute. I think Kinley was a little annoyed after the fifth time. She was trying to read.

Every time we cross a state line we make a big deal of it so Bo asks where the sand is, expecting to see the beach. It has lots of sand you know like a desert.

I am pretty sure, Bo just said quit yelling at me because all the adults are giving him orders. It is about 9pm and no napping has taken place so needless to say everyone is a little antsy.

Now Bo is asking if we are at the hotel yet. When we finally arrived, he just kept saying this is awesome. This is awesome. He probably said it 10 times. The shuttle lady at the hotel says he is "the awesome boy."
