Bo at the driving range

On Saturday, Emily had a playdate with her friend from school.
While they played house, Bo wanted to go "golfing".

He got about 50 balls and here is a video of him driving. After that we played a round of putt-putt.

Skating party

Bos school had a skating party tonight. It was the first time skating for both of them.
They started off a little rough but we were very impressed they didn't give up. They stuck with it and improved at the end. They definitely want to keep trying another time.

Emily's 4 year check-up

We were a little late this year but Emily finally had her 4 year old check-up with the doctor.

She weighed in at 33 lbs and was 3' 2.5" tall which put her in the 17% and 27.9% percentiles respectfully.

Everything was good except for two things.

  1. She failed her vision test, they gave it to her twice so pretty sure. They are recommending us to see a specialist. No coincidence but the name they gave us was the same Ophthalmologist who worked on her when she had the dresser fall on her and scraped her up.
  2. The doctor was a little worried about her size. She said her percentiles went down a little from last year. Nothing to act on now but something to keep an eye on.
Emily was happy because she didn't have to get any shots. I'm not sure she was thinking that going in but Bo reminded and asked for her.

We go see the allergist in February for that annual check-up.

Emily back to dancing

Emily went back to dancing to start the new year. She picked out her own new outfit too. She seems to be excited about it more this time around. Hopefully it will last until the recital in early June.

Big Sibling class

Last weekend, we took the kids to Mo Bap for Big Sibling's class. We took a tour of the Maternity floor, the nursery, and some of the other parts of the hospital where baby Pancake will be born.

They also watched a movie on babies. They each had their own baby doll that they had to take care of and practice holding.

Finally, they each drew a picture of their family including baby Pancake and then took a picture with the baby doll. The took these home to put in their rooms to prepare for the baby coming. When Pancake comes, they can replace the picture with a real one of them holding the baby.

The City Museum

As the kids will tell you that had 10 stay home days in a row for Christmas break. Well one of those days, Daddy stayed home from work too and we took them to the City Museum. There are tons of mazes, caves, obstacles, tunnels, etc. there. Some are very small but Daddy tried to keep up with them as much as possible. It was a success because we didn't get lost or stuck

Picture with Santa

Here is the kids annual picture with Santa. The loved this year doing it in their Jammies

This is a picture of Bo singing in his Christmas Program up on stage with the rest of his class at St. John's.

Christmas Morning

Here are the kids on Christmas morning after Santa came. They actually didn't get up too early but I think we stayed up late the night before so that helped.

The kids playing with some of the toys. Yes, that is a real swimming pool for Barbie filled with water.

Here is a little clip showing their excitement while they opened their toys.

Little Elfie (Elf on the shelve) & Just Being Silly

Every morning the kids loved waking up to go downstairs to see where Little Elfie would be hiding. He was always doing silly stuff like having a snowball fight with Elsa
Taking a bath or nap in candy canes.
Here is a picture of Bo having fun making cookies
Emily having fun doing crafts. She said take a picture

Bo scoring a touchdown at the Dome

For the last home Rams game this year and hopefully not the last ever game in STL for the Rams, Papa took Mommy, Daddy, and Bo. Bo was very excited. The giveaway was a Rams figurine that he played with most of the game. Plus there was plenty of snacks, hot dogs, cotton candy, and soda.
After the game, they had a special for little kids to run for a touchdown. There was a long line but Bo waited patiently. He is the one in the long sleeve light blue shirt.

Here is the video from the field that Daddy took. Not the best quality. You can see Bo take off. As they hand him off the ball, he drops his Rams "credit-card" that they gave him to get something from the team store. He of course stopped and ran back to get it. He then ran over the obstacles and around the defender into the end zone. Next time, we can work on his spiking. As you can see, when he scored he just stopped and wondered what to do until he saw me.

St. Nick's Day

St. Nick came to the house and brought everyone gifts.  He brought the usual stuff of books and a game or two. Plus, the kids decided to leave out their boots so there was candy inside there.

Don't forgot chocolate.

and more chocolate.

We also decided to put the christmas tree that day. The kids did a great job helping this year.
