Bo's Pirate Birthday

For Bo's actual birthday we had a Pirate themed party with a campout. Thanks to Grammie and Heather for decorating while we all drove home from the wedding. The kids were very surprised by the balloons and decorations when we arrived home.
There were pirate masks and presents of course.

Daddy received a tent for his birthday so we could camp out that night. The kids were excited about that. So much so that Bo wanted to open presents inside the tent and play with them in there.

Even though it wasn't really cool outside we started up a fire and cooked some hotdogs.
There was a game of pin the treasure chest on the "X" that marks the spot. Bo was the winner.

Then we flew an airplane outside from Gram-pa and Gram-ma.
What's a campout without roasting marshmallows.

Will stayed over for the campout.

It was a little stormy outside so we didn't end up sleeping out there but we did watch a movie. "Modern Day Campout" which are tent did actually have an E-port that allows you to run an extension or internet cord into the tent.

Here is a good picture of Emmy from the day too

Bo playing with his new hotwheels.com race track.

One of Bo's new toys he received for his birthday was a hotwheels.com race track. You put it together yourself. The funny thing is he can recognize the hotwheels logo and has seen the commercial a few times that he thinks the company is called hotwheels.com. He loves saying the .com part.

Another funny thing that happened for Bo's birthday was Emmy was playing with one of her Babies. She doesn't have a name for the baby so we were trying to think of a name for it. We threw around a couple of suggestions and then Bo had one. He said how about "treestump". It might be one of those things where you had to be there to laugh but we all thought it was hilarious.

Kids first wedding

Last weekend, Mommy's cousin was married in a small town in Illinois. Kids were invited to this wedding so they were excited to stay in a ho-tel and dance. We tried to get a few pictures of the family dressed up but the kids were a little reluctant to sit still. These were the best we could get.

Kids @ English soccer game at Busch Stadium

Last week, the English Premier League came to St. Louis to play a Friendly. Chelsea was the semi home team as they were in town for a few days. The night before the game at Busch Stadium they had an open practice that we brought the kids down to. They weren't quite excited about it like Daddy was. They were excited about getting free stuff like the Chelsea cape they are all wearing in the picture. Then there was the snacks too of course like cotton candy, ice cream, and soda.

There was also a mini indoor field outside the stadium they had set-up that the kids got to play around on.

Bo's birthday party with his classmates at Myseum

Bo wanted to have a birthday party with his classmates from school so we had a Robot themed party at Myseum. I say it is a combination of the Science Center & Magic House with just the things that kids like to play with. Bo was very excited. They built a big house with legos.

Emily was there too of course. She found a little piggy that she loved for some reason. She carried it everywhere. She was a little sad when she couldn't take it home but we convinced her it was ok. She could play with it next time. Luckily she hasn't brought it up since then. She also found a friend who helped her build the arch.

Everyone was given cupcakes with robots on them. Bo had big candles to blow out after everyone sang to him.

They had a digging section so Bo could pretend he was an archeologist or Indiana Jones. Plus, his favorite thing there is the pipe cut in half with magnets on them. The idea is to make a maze for a ball to roll down.

Bo was a little disappointed that he didn't get to open presents at the party. It took a little sympathizing with but he was fine when we got home. He immediately opened them.

Bo's Robot Parade

As part of Bo's school this semester that had a big project to make robots. They each constructed one using boxes, tools, spare parts, and paint. As a reward the whole school gathered in the halls as the class paraded down. They invited the parents of the per-schoolers too. There is a video below that gives a summary of it. They also performed a robot dance after the parade for all the parents.

As you can see Bo named his robot and gave a story about it as well

They had robot themed snacks after the parade.

This is a glimpse of the hall as they started the parade

Bo's school picnic

Last weekend Bo had his end of the year school picnic. He was very excited. Emmy called it "Bo's Special day" since it came two days after hers. She was also very excited to go to Bo's school.
They had a lot of stuff there like bouncy houses, petting zoo with some animals, and food trucks with lots of snacks.

They also had face painting so Bo got a spider at first. Emmy didn't want to get hers painted. They offered to paint one on her wrist but she wasn't in love with that either. I think at the time she just wanted a snack.

Then Bo's best buddy showed up Will. So they both had to get Batman masks.

There was also a magician there and she asked for a volunteer. Guess who she picked.

He was a good helper and was given a big round of applause.

There was a bouncy house slide too. Bo and Will found all different kinds of ways to come down.

Emmy kept climbing up the steps and then staying at the top. She wanted someone to go down with her. The boys were a little too crazy for her so she waited. This is her finally going down after about 10mins of just sitting up there.

Bo wanted a picture in front of his school bus.

Then at the very end, they had a dance party so we had to stay for that. Here is a video of it also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPesYwM7Zns
