Bo's birthday sleepover party

We asked Bo what he wanted to do for his birthday. We gave him several choices with one of them being no party and get a big present. Of course, he chose to have a sleepover, camping, and movie party. We put tents up in the backyard. The big tent sleeps 9 so it was perfect because counting Bo we had 7 boys stay over.
We set up a projector and screen so they watched Lego Batman movie when the sun went down.
After we had everything set up, Bo was a little anxious. This is him waiting in the driveway for his friends to show up.
There were plenty of games to play like jenga, checkers, dodgeball, and capture the flag.
A birthday cake with sparkling candles and bomb candle.
We laid out inflatable pools for the boys to lay in while they watched the movie.

Swim meet

On our first day back from vacation, the kids had their first swim meet. It was a practice meet but they missed all of practice the week before. Emily was very nervous.
We are very proud of her because she made it the whole length of the pool without stopping or touching the sides in freestyle.
She was a little upset at the end because she thinks she did horrible and was in last place. That was not true. I think she was also nervous because they put her in the backstroke and she said she didn't know how to do it.
Bo was not nervous at all and knew exactly what to do so it was old hat for him.
Cooper was their biggest fan but he also wanted to try so it was a bit of work to keep him away from the pool.
There is a lot of downtime in between races so Emily was being silly.
The kids played cards while they were waiting.
Emily was ready to go.
Bo was excited to finish his race.
Cooper just wanted snacks while he waited.
This is a picture of Emily ready to take her leg of the relay.

Cooper's first Cardinal's game

Mommy took Cooper to his first Cardinals game. Doesn't he look "handsome"?
He was very excited to be taken out to the ball game.

While they were all at the game, Bo and Dad went to his first gold outing.
This is Bo cleaning his clubs.
He learned that there is some waiting in golf while the group in front of you finishes their round.

Ft. Morgan, AL

Memorial Day week we drove down to the beach in Alabama as Cooper says. These two were very excited to make it to the beach.
Bo was trying to look tough by getting a tattoo of a dragon.
Emily chose a mermaid.
They ordered snow cones the size of their heads. Bo's had extra shark gummies added on top too.
Cooper wanted sprinkle ice cream instead and a candy necklace.
Emily's sand castle work.
Bo made a race track.
Cooper wasn't a big fan of the sand but he did like wrecking the castles, tracks, etc.
Cooper slept in a big kid bed and as you can see he has trouble not moving around.

On the way home, we took the ferry across the bay so Cooper rode on a big boat.
