Mommy's Birthday weekend (sorry it was only a weekend this year and not the whole month) started off with a day trip to the Mall. It was suppose to be lunch with Daddy but he had to stay at work. Bo missed his nap as he played at the mall and waited to go to Grammie's house for the night. This was the first time he has ever fell asleep in a stroller. He hates the stroller and even more he hates going shopping. He might get that genetically from his father. I think I see a lot of boys watching sports and girls going to the mall in this family's future.
Poor little guy was exhausted.

For Friday night, Mommy's friends arranged a night out for dinner. We went to a local Mexican restaurant for happy hour margaritas. Of course, Mommy ordered a Pomegranate Martini though. We stayed out late since both kids were away. This was the first night away from Miss Emily. Mommy was very sad but I think had a good time any ways. After shutting down the bar, Mommy & Daddy headed to the Ameristar casino and hotel for a famous Cordia "stay-cation". Ma-Ma & Pa-Pa were still there playing their favorite machines. Mommy won some blackjack so she was happy.
After some much needed sleep in the hotel, everyone met for lunch in the Sports Bar. Bo & Emily surprised Mommy with a St. Louis famous McArthur's Cake.

Bo was very happy because he was able to sing his favorite song "Happy To Ya" or his version of Happy Birthday. He has even learned to blow the candle out.

After lunch, Mommy went for a massage. Daddy, Bo, & Emily went swimming. Miss Emily just took a cat nap on the side while Bo mostly stayed in the hot tub. I have to admit it felt pretty good. The regular pool was a little cold but tolerable. Bo wore his shark wings so he was enjoying floating on his own until he flipped to his back.
Happy Birthday Mommy. I know it wasn't Hawaii or any place warm for that matter but I hope you had a great time any ways.

Bo thinks he gets to open presents every time it is someone's birthday. Luckily, he had a late Xmas present that he was able to open Sunday when we came home. It is 2 hockey (or soccer) goals. He knows you are suppose to put the ball in there for a goal but mostly uses them as a fort. For some reason, he thinks no one can see him in there so he really gets a kick out of it.
