Marine Week, Will's 2nd birthday and Chuckie Cheese

Last the Marines were in town to display all of their equipment, toys, etc. We took Bo downtown to see the helicopters, tanks, airplanes, and big trucks. On our way to "ballpark village", we walked by Busch Stadium to see "home runs". ESPN was doing the game that night so the Clydesdales were outside the stadium. You can see it behind the two pretty girls here.

The clydesdales are protected like the president with the secret service surrounding them. Bo was not happy because he couldn't touch them or even get close to them. He did like that there was a puppy dog dalmation driving the carriage.

Bo really thought he was cool because he was driving the Big Truck.

Then we were able to climb up into the tank (actually amphibious Hummer) that weighed 29 tons I believe. Bo really thought he was cool up there.

For a treat, we had cheeseburgers and french fries. As you can see, Emmy was finally able to sneak a french fry. She thought she was in heaven.

That Saturday we had cousin Will's second birthday. All the kids were playing in the bouncy house. Emmy was very jealous and couldn't sit still. Now we know what she wanted to do and be like the other kids.

For a surprise, a firetruck and ambulance showed up at Will's party. The boys were very excited.

Does this look like trouble or what? Is it the future Batman and Robin?

Luckily for us, Emmy had a friend to play with too.

Here is the motley crew.

Later that night since Mommy was out of town, a trip to Chuckie Cheese was in order. Emmy just loves climbing on everything and trying to be a big kid.

Bo loved riding the rides. "Make sure you have your seat belt on to be safe." as he says.

Even Emmy rode the car with Chuckie.

Emmy and Bo loved the dance game. Bo was a little distracted because Emmy had an ice cream on her shirt. He wanted to eat it.

They rode the school bus.

Bo went nuts collecting tickets from all the games. Sometimes he was a little confused with the tickets and the tokens. He wanted to put the ticket into the game to start it and not the token. I think he is used to giving the train conductor a ticket. He knew the more tickets you have the better your prize. Bo selected a Chuckie Cheese sucker as his. By the looks of it, I think he enjoyed it.

After that mess of a sucker, ice cream, and pizza. We had to take a bath.

The next day we headed to the Marthasville pool party for Grandma Judy's birthday. I didn't take any pictures but I think they had fun. Bo still isn't too excited about getting in the pool but is slowly becoming more acceptable to the idea.

Bo's swim lessons at the castle

Since Bo likes to go to the pool but doesn't really like to get into the water, we signed him up for swim lessons. They are at her house which is in Ladue. When Bo first pulled up to the house, he told Mommy that he was at a castle. The house is rather larger.

Here are 2 clips of Bo "enjoying" his swim lessons

"Stay-cation" for Ma Ma and Pa Pa's 35th anniversary

Well, this weekend was Ma Ma and Pa Pa's 35th wedding anniversary so in typical Cordia fashion, we did a stay-cation at the Ameristar. All day Friday was spent at the pool until the country concert at Riverport that night. Saturday was more time at the pool in the morning and then off to a graduation party. At the party, they had a mechanical bull ride. The boys thought it was a horsey and were all excited until they realized it wasn't real. They weren't too fond of it when it moved either. Maybe they can try again when they get older.

At that same party, here is lil Emmy. I think she drank too much bottle.

After the party, we went down to main st. in St. Charles. Bo was excited to see the cho-cho's there. But then he was just as disappointed when he found out that they didn't move. He just didn't understand that. We did however walk the entire train track. "Bo likes train tracks". After the walking we met the Cordia clan at the ice cream shop where we all ate a treat. After the ice cream, we headed back to the Ameristar and into the arcade. The boys were pop-a-shot champs.

Sunday was another morning at the pool and as you can see Emily was exhausted. She fell asleep in her wet bathing suit, in a wet towel, and in her pack-in-play all poolside.

I would have more pictures of Bo at the pool but he didn't exactly stand still. He isn't a big fan of being in the water except on the steps. Then outside the water he just keeps running around with everyone yelling at him not to run. He goes from one side to the other yelling at Mario, Gaby, or Kinley to play. He also likes the hot tub. I think more because it is a small pool that he can walk around in then the warm water.

Also, here is a picture of Emily celebrating her first Father's Day with her Daddy with pizza and ice cream that Sunday night at Bo's House.

Emily's First Ice Cream

Friday night, Emily ate her first ice cream (dairy free of course). She loved it and I think would have eaten 3 more.

"Bo eat ice cream, too"

Apparently, Emily likes to do yard work too

Big Pet Dog House

First, someone is very proud of herself. Yes, she gets up on her 2 feet now.

A couple of weekends ago, Shelly bought a couple of raffle tickets to support CASA a child advocate group. She entered her tickets into a drawing/raffle. This past Sunday she received a call that she won. Shelly thinks she bought $20 worth of $5 tickets. Supposedly, people were buying $100s of tickets to try to win one of these houses. Apparently, we were the lucky ones. The house was donated by Ralston Purina so that is why it is a pet dog house theme. Bo was so excited when we went to the mall to check it out. Daddy was very surprised too. It is huge. The house was also full of cushions, toy box with toys, drawing board, a table, and chairs. They delivered it on Tuesday morning and here is a video of it. Narrated beautifully by two crazy women I might add.

Emily pulling up and pool fun

This past weekend our little Miss Emily discovered how to pull herself up. Her favorite places to do this are in her bed and on the fireplace. We walked into her room one afternoon wondering why she wasn't awake from her nap yet. We found out that she was awake but was playing. She taught herself a new move and her is a picture of it. She is very proud of herself.

She must have spent about 30mins yesterday doing this on the fireplace. It is the perfect height. She is still working on her balance and doesn't move along or cruise yet but it won't be long.

The summer of Shelly, Bo, and Emily spent some time at the pool last week. Here are a couple of pictures that they sent me while I was inside the office building working.

It looks like they had some friends join them. That's cousin Will. Does this look like double trouble or what.

Another thing that Bo likes to do now is strip down to nothing. He has figured out how to take all of his clothes off including his diaper. He thinks it is very funny. He runs around giggling saying, "look at Bo, naked, naked, he-he-he-he". He even does this outside. At least he put his helmet on.

Summer has begun - Six Flags

Well, the first day of summer for Mommy, Bo, and Emily was spent at six flags with Tracey, Kinley, Will, Kimmie, Gaby, and Mario. I think they had a blast but were very worn out.
Here are the pictures I was sent and stories I was told about the day

of course BO & Will are not scared of anything and love all the rides. I was told that they go on everything.

Here is curious Bo exploring the park. He is fascinated by water especially fountains. And yes, he is taking his clothes off here. That is what he does at home when he gets in the bath or shower so it only makes sense. Apparently, after he was finished playing in it, he came back to Mommy crying because he was all wet. I think he wanted her to put new clothes on or give him a towel.

What a trip be to the park without riding the cho-cho. "All aboard" which is what Bo loves to say and now he even does the whistle sounds.

It was a very hot day Tuesday in St. Louis and it showed when I met them after work for Ma-Ma's birthday. They were all a little worn out but I think they had fun. I guess that is all that matters.
