Last the Marines were in town to display all of their equipment, toys, etc. We took Bo downtown to see the helicopters, tanks, airplanes, and big trucks. On our way to "ballpark village", we walked by Busch Stadium to see "home runs". ESPN was doing the game that night so the Clydesdales were outside the stadium. You can see it behind the two pretty girls here.
The clydesdales are protected like the president with the secret service surrounding them. Bo was not happy because he couldn't touch them or even get close to them. He did like that there was a puppy dog dalmation driving the carriage.
Bo really thought he was cool because he was driving the Big Truck.
Then we were able to climb up into the tank (actually amphibious Hummer) that weighed 29 tons I believe. Bo really thought he was cool up there.
For a treat, we had cheeseburgers and french fries. As you can see, Emmy was finally able to sneak a french fry. She thought she was in heaven.
That Saturday we had cousin Will's second birthday. All the kids were playing in the bouncy house. Emmy was very jealous and couldn't sit still. Now we know what she wanted to do and be like the other kids.
For a surprise, a firetruck and ambulance showed up at Will's party. The boys were very excited.
Does this look like trouble or what? Is it the future Batman and Robin?
Luckily for us, Emmy had a friend to play with too.
Here is the motley crew.
Later that night since Mommy was out of town, a trip to Chuckie Cheese was in order. Emmy just loves climbing on everything and trying to be a big kid.
Bo loved riding the rides. "Make sure you have your seat belt on to be safe." as he says.
Even Emmy rode the car with Chuckie.
Emmy and Bo loved the dance game. Bo was a little distracted because Emmy had an ice cream on her shirt. He wanted to eat it.
They rode the school bus.
Bo went nuts collecting tickets from all the games. Sometimes he was a little confused with the tickets and the tokens. He wanted to put the ticket into the game to start it and not the token. I think he is used to giving the train conductor a ticket. He knew the more tickets you have the better your prize. Bo selected a Chuckie Cheese sucker as his. By the looks of it, I think he enjoyed it.
After that mess of a sucker, ice cream, and pizza. We had to take a bath.
The next day we headed to the Marthasville pool party for Grandma Judy's birthday. I didn't take any pictures but I think they had fun. Bo still isn't too excited about getting in the pool but is slowly becoming more acceptable to the idea.
