Bo's Cho-Cho Birthday Party

This past Sunday 5/22/2011 we had Bo's 2nd birthday party at the Cho-Cho Store. This is one of Bo's favorite places to go. It is really called the Whittle Shortline Railroad store. They sell all kinds of wooden trains, tracks, etc. but also have huge display out for the kids to play with.
For the party, we had a room upstairs where everyone could gather, play games, and eat cupcakes. Bo was so excited because he was able to invite all of his friends, even Patrick (little boy from his day care) that he plays with every day.
Here is a picture of the set-up. Mommy did an excellent job with all the decorations (Thomas the Train everything including table cloth, plates, cupcakes, and balloons).

There was also a train piƱata that everyone got to take a few swings at.

Besides playing with the trains, I think Bo's favorite party was everyone singing happy birthday to him. He loves that song. He sings it every time he sees any cake. This time they said his name and he was able to blow the candle out.

Here is what he looked like afterwords. The Thomas Blue icing really left its mark. Bo didn't quite make as big of mess as last year. For some reason, he like to lick the icing off the Thomas ring on the cupcake then dip it back in the cupcake and then lick again. He then was blowing the party favor but had icing on his hands so then licked the party favor.
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy.

After eating cake and snacks and drinking "juice boxes", it was play time. Everyone headed for the tracks. As you can see Bo was in heaven. He did not want to stop playing. They actually had to ask us to leave because they were closing down for another party. We had to bribe him with his presents to leave.

Here is Emmy enjoying all the festivities. Yes, she is out cold. The noise did not bother her at all.

As part of the party, they let the birthday Bo put his hand print on the wall. Bo thought it was fun to "draw" on the wall.

When we got back to "Bo's house", we opened all the presents. He loves presents. He kept saying "Another one, another one, please." He didn't know which one to play with so kept going back and forth. I think he enjoyed the tee ball set the most so far. He wanted to not only put the balls on the tee but also his other presents like a thomas lunch box and puzzles.
I think in this picture he hit a "Home Run."

Here is Emmy crawling around playing with the leftovers too. I think she was also ducking to avoid being hit by the tee-ball bat and whatever might be flying off the bat.

After presents died down, he wanted to sing happy birthday again. So we lit a candle on his cupcake and sang to him again. And then again. I'm not sure he really wanted the cupcake but just to sing the song.

I also should note that when we finally put him down to bed that night we heard something from his room about 30mins later. We could hear Bo saying "Bo had party with cho-cho" and then he sang "happy to ya" to himself.
Then when he woke up in the morning, he said "Daddy, Bo go downstairs and play with toys".
