Monday the 19th, Bo had his operation to put the tubes in his ear. The surgery was scheduled for 7:45am so we had to arrive there at 6:45. They did use anesthesia on him so it was a little scary. The actual procedure took about 15 minutes. When they brought him back to us, he was a little out of it. We waited about 15 more minutes and then they sent us home. It was as we went to the car when Bo began to "freak out". I think he was very confused and probably a little bit in pain. It took awhile to settle him down before we could get him in the car seat. Part of me wishes we would have stayed in our room for awhile but I felt like they rushed us out of there because they knew he was not going to be happy.
We were home by 8:45 and it was probably another hour before Bo settled down. He fell asleep on my chest for about 30mins. When he woke up, he was still a little groggy but definitely feeling better. He ate some fruit and played for about an hour. After that he took another nap for about 2 hours. He had a little dry blood in his ear but from then on he was back to his normal self.
He went to his gym class on Tuesday and swimming with Mommy on Wednesday. Here is a picture of Bo enjoying a snack at the pool and one of his new trick that he likes to do.
