Baby Woodster #2 ultrasound

Last week, we went to the doctor for the 20 month ultrasound. This is the one where you can determine what the sex of the baby is. Needless to say, Daddy was still trying to convince Mommy to find out. She was still on the fence.

I am not sure if we had a technician who did not know what she was doing or if the baby was just in a bad position but this ultrasound took forever. The normal length is about 15-20mins to see everything. We were there for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. This included Shelly having to lay differently 3 times, 1 bathroom visit, and four different attempts by the technician.

According to the technician, she eventually saw everything that she needed but did not present an abundance of confidence. She gave us several pictures including one very good profile one and one with the sex. The later was put in a sealed envelope to be opened "later". Shelly was talking about having a reveal party of some kind but given the fact we aren't too confident with the technician, I'm not sure we are going to look at all.

After the ultrasound, we went to the OB who examined Shelly and the baby bump. They said everything looked fine and the baby was just where he/she needed to be. This made us all feel better.

The baby is definitely getting bigger and the other night we even felt him/her moving around. I think the baby was just excited that Bo was sleeping and they had some quiet time.
