Granpa's work (airport)

Last weekend, the kids learned where Grandpa's work is, the airport. Grandpa had a family day on Saturday so he invited the kids to go. Bo was very excited on the drive there to see spaceships. He was a little disappointed that there were just going to be airplanes and helicoptors but he was over that on the ride there when we passed all the trains at the downtown train station. The one train followed us over the bridge so he was thrilled. Here is a picture of us in front of one of the display private jets.

They had quite a few things for the kids to do like a bouncy house, a little pop-a-shot game, little pool to fish in, paper airplane contests, drawing/coloring table, a live band playing rock-n-roll to dance to, and of course food. Here is a picture of Emmy enjoying her feast. We called it her pile of everything. She took her hot dog, potato chips, cookies, pop corn, and M&Ms and dumped them all into one big pile. Then she just kept eating handfuls. She was very proud of herself.
At then end, we went over to the runway and watched a plane and helicopter land. There were lots of other planes to look at so I think the kids had fun. Bo said Grandpa's work was way more fun than Daddy's work.
