Last weekend, Bo had a Fun Run for his pre-school. They started off with a diaper dash at 9am for all kids 2 and under. This included Bo. He was really excited about the "race" all week until it was time to be up at the starting line. The diaper dash was just one side of the track so like a 100yds. They were doing the kids in groups of 5 or 6 so when it was his turn I believe he was a little scared. See the picture below.
We finally got him to run holding Mommy's hand. Plus I was holding Emmy and we ran along side of him outside the track. By the time he crossed the finish line he was in a much better mood as everyone cheered and they gave him a trophy necklace as a price.
After the diaper dash, they did another kids run for 3-5yr olds which was a half lap around the track. As we watched everyone run, Bo became more and more interested. He finally asked if he could "race" again. So with the next group, he just took off. He went the whole way and was given another "trophy" necklace. They also gave the kids a brown bag full of candy, fruit snacks, and other goodies. This came in very handy as we put the two kids in the jogging stroller and ran the 5K. Here is what the kids looked like after Mommy and Daddy ran the 5K
