Pinewood Derby Race

This morning Bo had his Pinewood Derby race at school. This is him weighing in. We came in very short of the limit at around 80grams when the limit was 141grams. We made a mistake of adding some extra weights at the last minute to the bottom and duck taping it in. This caused our first 2 races to be a failure because our bottom was dragging on the track.

This is Bo, his friend JP and Cooper right before the races started.
He had 6 races total. The first 3 were not so good and Bo was very disappointed. They allowed us to remove the weights and tape from the bottom. Then his car went much better finishing 4th in the final 3 races.
Here are two videos of his car racing down the track

This is a picture of the whole track with Bo at the end watching the results.
Cooper was being very silly while he waited to watch the races.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Last night Emily had her first Daddy/Daughter dance. She was running a fever earlier and wasn't feeling great that day but she didn't want to miss it. When Cooper saw her come out of the bathroom after getting ready, he looked at her and said "Princess. Emily's a princess". It was very cute.

She was excited when we got there and wore her wrist corsage.
She went to the front of the dance floor and danced with her group of friends.

Cooper's first day of pre-school

Today was Cooper's first day of pre-school. Bo decided to make a sign for him and have him stand by the tree. I'm not sure Cooper understood what was going on but he went along with it.

When we arrived at school and dropped him off, he knew something was up. At first he was ok with the other kids there playing and toys to play with but then he slowly realized Daddy was leaving and he was not happy.

Bo wrote this note and put it in his bag too. He wanted the teacher to read it to him. We were all very sad and missed not having him around going to the bus stop.

The teachers' said he only cried for two minutes after I left and was fine the rest of the day. They did let him keep his binkie in the whole day though. He even took a nap from 1:15-3 and ate breakfast, lunch, and snack of course.
